The graduation project that birthed what would later become Speedrun Studios, "The Trail To Oregon" ran for three sold out performances at the Trinity Street Playhouse in August of 2021.
It's more than a game! The Trail To Oregon is a raunchy, comedic musical about the misadventures of a dysfunctional family headed down the trail, after a tragic act of god sends them to a new life in Oregon. Based loosely on the classic 90’s video game, and written by the team that brought you The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, it's an improv-filled rollercoaster ride of chaos and hilarity, that may teach you a bit about family along the way.

Finn Alexander is going into sophomore year at Bowie High School. You may or may not have seen his performances at Kealing, Bowie, or the AISD Summer Theatre Series, but you’ve most likely seen him offstage somewhere, like at rehearsals, or cast parties, or oh wow he really only does theatre, doesn't he. In any case, he hopes you enjoy the show, thanks to Austin for this amazing opportunity.
Hello! My name is Michael Stage and I’m the guy on stage with all those wacky characters. I’m a senior in High School who loves coffee, philosophy, and singing, and I’d like to thank our wonderful director Austin for letting me be in this awesome show and for all the time he put into making this a fun experience. Well, see ya!
